HRTA Project On Track for Summer Hitchert Regional Transit Agency (HRTA) has reached another milestone in the process of adding enhanced-accessibility trains to its light-rail fleet. On January 7, HRTA staff began trial operation of the trains on the Gold and Green lines in order to discover and eliminate any issues before their deployment at the start of summer. To minimize inconvenience to transport users, the trains are being run only between the hours of 8 p.M. and 4 A.M. and are marked with large "Test Train" stickers to prevent people from boarding. Spreading rapidly to metropolitan areas across the country following their debut in Fonseca, the trains boast low, stair-free entrances, automatically-contrölled ramps, and other features that make them more accessible to passengers with disabilities.
