I'll call you with details once we're finished. ========== New Restaurant to Take Over Sherman Street Landmark GLADNEY (7 August)-Reeves House, the 130-year-old home located at 560 Sherman Street, is being converted into a restaurant set to open later this month. The restaurant's co-owners, Frida Landvik and Adam Silva, purchased the property from Marian Reeves, the last descendant of the family that built the home. Their eatery will be named "The Oak Bistro" after the large tree that stands on the front lawn. The graceful gray house and its grounds have been well-maintained during their long history. Mr. Silva says the structure has needed some upgrades to satisfy restaurant regulations but few repairs. When it opens, The Oak Bistro will serve lunch and dinner dishes inspired by Ms. Landvik's childhood in Norway. Indoor seating for 25 people will be available year-round, with additional seating on the front lawn offered from June through September. MORE The Oak Bistro (Gladney) ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ Reviewer: Keith Owens Some friends and I stopped by The Oak Bistro for lunch at the end of October. It has a lovely, old-fashioned atmosphere, and the service is excellent. Our server, Joyce, was happy to answer all of our questions about the menu. This was important because none of us was familiar with Norwegian food. Luckily, we were happy to find that it is quite good. I especially recommend the fish soup, which is creamy and delicious. The only reason I'm not giving the place a five-star rating is that the portion sizes are a bit small.
