http://www.green-run.com/volunteering VOLUNTEERING AT A GREEN RUN One reason for the growing popularity of Green Runs all over the world is that participation in this weekly outdoor running event isn't limited to joggers. People able to walk a Green Run course can volunteer to set out the course markers beforehand, take them down afterwards, or help by "tail-walking" — walking after the last runner to ensure that no one is left behind on the course. Those who can only sit may act as course marshals, directing the runners at some of the course's major turns. And people handy with technology are needed to stand at the finish line and, with the help of the Green Run smartphone app, record finish times or scan runners' participation barcodes. To get started as a volunteer, send an e-mail to your local event coordinator.
